Don’t laugh at me, but I am currently reading a pirate fantasy romance. It’s the third in the series titled “Across Torn Tides.” Each book is like an episode of Pirates of the Caribbean! Simply epic!

I am also reading the terrifying and spectacular book by Howard Zinn. Has anyone read “A People’s History of the United States”? I just finished the chapter on Columbus and the African slave trade. My goodness. :emoji_frowning2:

Unfortunately, nowadays we're seeing what happens when those in power treat dystopian fiction as an instruction manual rather than as a warning.

Speaking of FDR and Lindbergh, in that case you may be interested in The Plot Against America, an alternative history novel by Philip Roth in which FDR is defeated for reelection in 1940 by Lindbergh. I think there was a show or movie made from it, but I've only read the book.
