So happy that we have gridlock and that nothing seems to get done.

I am very pleased that the Republicans have won control of both houses of Congress. I am also grateful that we have a Democratic President for the next two years and that we will continue to have virtually nothing done as far as legislation or any major pieces of legislation.

It's also interesting to note that recently President Obama signed an agreement with China on Climate Change and that the Republicans have started to criticize this agreement. The Republicans have also stated that they will introduce legislation to get around the agreement. I hope that they do. And also the Republicans have been pushing the Keystone Pipeline and now a Senator of Louisiana has changed her tune that she wants to have an up and down vote on the Keystone Pipeline and that she will vote in favor of it. This of course got the White House to issue a veto threat if the legislation comes to the President's desk. This is awesome and it's good to see both are fighting with each other and that there doesn't seem to be any compromise in sight.

I also like that in the lame duck session of the Senate that they are refusing to take up any of the existing nominations of the President and passing them to the new Senate which will be Republican. Hopefully they will hold up these nominations and that the nominations will be delayed as long as possible. Hopefully the President can try to do some recess nominations tip toe around that so it will get some reactions and threats from the Republicans. I like it when people use their power and try to overstep others and it's cool to see this maneuver from both parties.

I honestly hope that this will continue at least for the next couple of years. It's nice to see that the Republicans are sticking to their stance, and that the President is doing the same. This has been pretty much the case for the last two years (since 2010), and I sincerely hope that this Congress will get less accomplished than the last ones which basically didn't get much passed either.

I like to see gridlock and fighting with power. It's awesome and hopefully it will only get worse instead of better. This is what we expect from our elected officials and why didn't previous Congresses heed this kind of behavior? This is why we have elections and I think this is what to expect in the future. In 2016, hopefully if it is to continue it will just switch around to a Republican President and a a Democratic Congress and that they will behave in the same fashion. I wouldn't expect anything otherwise, and I just want to say to both sides keep up the great work.

What I think you are forgetting, potpourri, is that MY agenda is righteous and MY point of view is correct and the other guys are the ones that are ruining this country. The moment that everyone agrees with me, everything will be magically solved. :irked:

You've only got it partially right, see...it's actually My agenda that is righteous and My point of view that is correct, you (the "other" guy) are wrong and you're ruining this country.

All identity no ideas. 100% of the time. We're all guilty and get what we deserve. Hug a millenial today....X'er's couldn't fix the Boomer's crap and are actually making it worse. It's up to you guys (millenials) to fix it - *hides under couch in complete and total fear*

The push for a lame-duck Senate vote on the Keystone Pipeline move by Mary Landrieu is a day late and a dollar short … she’s done /toast in the Louisiana Senate runoff come December. :Flush:

Now we have President Obama who has issued an executive order on immigration reform. The President has decided to side-step Congress and do it through executive action.

The Republicans are upset with his actions. I'm glad that this has continued. Now that the President has nominations for a new Attorney General and just today it was announced that the Defense Secretary Chuck Hangel has resigned this will open up an additional nomination.

Hopefully the Republicans will simply not act on these nominations and do whatever they can to not cooperate with the President. In turn, I sincerely hope that the President continues with his I can do it on my own approach.

The thing that was disappointing is the KeyStone Pipeline project didn't get approval and be sent to the President. I was hoping it would be so that he would threaten a veto and see if Congress could have enough votes to override it. Unfortunately, it was disappointing to not get the pleasure of seeing it.

I have enjoyed this type of behavior since 2010, and hopefully there will be more gridlock. I'm enjoying it very much. We should give those elected officials a standing ovation for this behavior.

Hopefully she won't be toast and will be able to continue to serve effectively in the United States Senate. She has been so wishy washy on issues. We need more of her type so that she can be switched under pressure. Now, I suggest we put on the song, "Under Pressure," and when she wins we toast with a fine expensive wine.
