What's required for an Educational Technology degree? I know enough about computers to do school online and surf the 'net, but beyond that I'm not really "computery". So if I need to have some kind of proclivity for computers and technology, this degree won't work.

Ok, so here's what I found out about the schools I'm looking at:

Northeastern University - In the 2013 edition, US News and World Report rated Northeastern 56th in the Top National Universities category, ranking the university as a Tier 1 National Research University.

M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration | Northeastern College of Professional Studies

Drexel University - In 2012, U.S. News & World Report has ranked Drexel 86th among all universities of the United States, making this university a tier 1 university.

Online Master' s in Higher Education

Nova Southeastern University - As of 2012, U.S. News and World Report has ranked Nova Southeastern University in the second tier of the National Universities category, which ranks the top 300 research universities in the country. It is ranked as the 239th best national university.

M.S. in College Student Affairs Degree Program | NSU Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences

Master of Science in Leadership : Prospective Students :: Fischler School

So now I just need to do a little bit more research and decide which program is the best fit for me. Any suggestions as to which program/school would be the best out of these would be a HUGE help. I really am relying on the expertise and opinions of everyone here. Thanks so much!!

You lack patience and are looking to avoid tedious and droning work, so your chosen career field is educational administration? I must have a badly calibrated sense of what makes a job tedious and/or droning.

On a more serious note, don't stress too much now over where you're going to grad school two years from now. Concentrate on getting great grades and doing the things that will make you a great applicant when it is time to pick a school. Find profs who will write your recommendations. Spend time on GRE prep now so you aren't trying to cram that in just before it's time to take the test. If you put a lot of time now into picking your next program and neglect to do the things it will take to actually get into your school of choice, you may find yourself scrambling to get into a different school at the last minute. Focus on the stuff that makes you a great applicant, and schools will be chasing you! Good luck!

I wouldn't take rankings very seriously, but if you are then at least ignore the undergraduate listings and use the one for graduate schools of education.

Also, on educational technology, it's not hard to get into from a prerequisite standpoint, but it doesn't actually interest you, then you're unlikely to thrive in it.

Teaching is just something that makes me cringe. I admit that I have no patience for trying to get someone to understand something that seems so easy to me. The administration side of things is just more interesting to me. Dont ask why, cause I have no idea. Its just how I feel.

Because more administrators with no teaching experience or ability to relate to teachers they're administering is exactly what the world needs :)

Seriously though, good luck with your search. It can be pretty daunting when you're searching while still defining a path.
