I was talking with a friend who has signed up for the School of Biblical Evangelism that is done by Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron. The web address is School of Biblical Evangelism.

They said that I should take the course as it is about how to effectively reach the lost for Christ through effective Biblical knowledge. I have been giving it some thought but before I embark on it I wanted to see if anyone from the forum has taken this course and if so what your thoughts are on it?

The course costs $150.00 so I wanted to get some insight before paying that kind of fee. Also, are there exams and tests involved with it to complete it? I hope to get some feedback.

Your call, but I can't imagine paying for lessons on salesmanship from people whose own sales pitch is so transparently clumsy and manipulative. It reads like bad junk mail.

But if you really think that they know some special secret argument that will have atheists agreeing with you in two minutes, then by all means, be parted from your money.

Thank you Steve. You just made me decide to sign up for this course. I just paid $150.00. Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron are experts and the reviews are really impressive.

Your comment made me prayerfully consider this is the right decision. I'll be praying for you Steve!

Kirk Cameron is also a movie and television actor. He was the star of "Saving Christmas", which currently holds the distinction of being the single worst-rated movie at IMDb.com, with only 1.5 stars (based on more than 7,000 ratings).

If you found his website to be compelling, then perhaps you will want to see his movies too.

By all means! But consider that you may have misunderstood me. Had their sales pitch been persuasive, I'd have figured that the course materials were more likely to help you accomplish your goals of being more persuasive yourself, and would have said so.

Steve, you're always cool to chat with and have always been very respectful to me and others even if you disagree.

I was merely joking and I do agree with what you had to state. The funny thing is if you listen to Kirk Cameron he always uses the same rationale for the evangelism thing by asking people if they have ever stolen and other questions and then he mentions the Ten Commandments. He and his partner Ray Comfort use the same logic and comments.

I was merely wondering if anyone had taken the course was all? Steve again, I have great respect for you and I consider you a good friend. I always enjoy reading your comments and you're a great source on this forum!

I have seen some of his movies and there honestly not the best done. If you ever get a chance to watch his debate with atheists you will see where Ray Comfort and he struggle to answer many of the questions that are posed to them. Toward the end of the presentation you can see where Kirk Cameron gets a little hot under the collar and is having a hard time trying to keep his composure.

He doesn't get mean but you can tell from his body language that he is uncomfortable. I respect people who have different views and opinions. I just think that they use the same responses and you see it in most of their presentations.

Ah, that sounds familiar. That conversational sequence is in the Left Behind movie, isn't it? (But CalDog's right, those movies really weren't the greatest contribution ever to cinema....)
