"Santa Claus is an independent, progressive, democratic socialist, and shares many of U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders’s positions."

    Okay, I laughed.

I guess it isn’t a joke that Santa Claus is actually running but I suspect Santa Claus doesn’t expect to win so there is some humor involved. I haven’t decided who to vote for yet but it won’t likely be Santa; regardless of what I think about Bernie Sanders’ positions, I don’t think I can vote for someone that runs a campaign mirroring their positions with another politician with that level of minimal effort.

Santa is at least as well qualified as other people who have run for Congress lately:

It's interesting that he doesn't accept campaign contributions. I wonder what that's about?

They've already got enough ho-ho-hos in Washington. That's what Matt Gaetz told me, anyway.

They're probably too over-educated for his tastes.

It goes to my point about him not expecting to win. Why bother taking people’s money and dealing with everything related to it?

People have been waiting for many years for this opportunity and there are some well-known and well-funded candidates vying for the seat.

Yep, Rt. Rev. Santa would look more qualified than many incumbents. On both sides.

He disagrees with the amount of money spent on American political campaigns. Feels that these resources are better spent elsewhere. Not a bad point, actually.
