How does the Rutger Skill Certificate look like? Is it mailed by Rutger University or you have to print online? I am just curious to know how it looks like and what is written on it. Thanks. Tar
>> It looks pretty basic, and you print it out yourself. You could use a color printer, I think there is some color in the border, but I used my laser printer. It is an 8x10 black block lettering. Nothing you couldn't do in 5 minutes on your computer. BUT, for the price it's kinda fun. I have one.
To do the "Information Systems/Technology Manager" job skill certification I would have to pass nine exams, which would be no big deal, but after the first one I see I have to pay fifty bucks to make it count, and if that means the whole thing is $450, well, no thanks. But that's just me. Sure, I could see someone with no other credentials using this until they had time to get something more solid. And like you said, it was fun. -=Steve=-
i did for fun one of these parts which you need for a final certificate. costs you like $20. but the certificate really does look ugly, almost like fake (i guess they somehow create the certificates "dynamic" and the resolution of the certificate is slower than the one of your name on it. so it looks a bit muddy, except for your name which is in very sharp letters) . another thing is, at the time i did it they had no online support.
>> $450??? It's been a while for me, probably last year, but I think it was a lot less. Yes, I had to buy each test and then pay for the cert- then you also get a transcript. (ohhhh....ahhhh.) On your cert it has a web address for online verification- which I guess is what someone is to do if they want to validate your certificate. I'll have to look it up, I am wondering now what I paid.
Be aware that the certificate and online transcript are very badly worded. I complained to the company three times in writing and still no resolution. I was going to use the certification as a resume builder but frankly, the creditials they provide raise more questions than they answer. Do a search on this same subject to find my earlier post. I would not recommend this program until they correct the verbiage. It is atrocious.
