A relative was considering taking a Criminology program through this U.K. institution. By British standards would this be a "properly accredited" school? They claim accreditation by the "Open and Distance Learning Quality Council"

I like the comment from their BBS under "Possible not job opportunities":

quote from an on-going student: "Do you mean we are doing this course for nothing???????? "

Does anyone have an actual opinion of the school itself?

Does anybody think that these "institutions" still make money after 911?

But then, being called "Rusland something", maybe it should be "Nastrovje" instead of "Prost".

My goodness, has everyone gone squirrely? Something to do with Mercury being in Petrograd, I guess.

I don't pay close attention to non-degree-granting institutions, but these people seem to have valid recognition, for a private non-degree school. One hopes your relative will shop around, and see what else is out there at comparable prices, unless, of course, a British-focused criminology programme is what he or she is especially looking for.
