Chinese online rumor mill is fierce… so I wouldn’t put much into it, yet… Although I’ll be surprised if he holds the reigns much longer.

Then why waste mental energy on it?

I agree - but you'd be amazed at the bandwidth the whole Internet is wasting on it...

I was hoping this would happen to PUTIN.... first.

The only things I could find out for (reasonably) sure are:

    (1) From Janta Ka Reporter (India) ... Rumors gained momentum hours after China sentenced two top-ranking former ministers to death for their involvement in corruption. Former Chinese Vice Minister of Public Security, Sun Lijun, was sentenced to death for taking 646 million Yuans of bribes, manipulating stock market and illegally possessing firearms.

Former Justice Minister of China, Fu Zhenghua, too was sentenced to death for taking bribes worth $16million."

Hmm - two former officials sentenced to death for taking bribes. I'll bet the Chinese consider this a "good start."

    (2) Video and report of a column of military vehicles at least 50km long headed for Beijing. Video below. That's a lotta vehicles...

    I read 80 KM.

I heard where 119 of 138 countries are having civil unrest.

Watching Dutchland World. Sounds like Hindu/Muslim violence is increasing internally.

You're right. It was 80 km. I translated it into miles for US readers but forgot to indicate it. Sorry.

As to Hindu / Muslim violence - Religious differences beget violence. QED. Protestants and Catholics used to take turns burning each other at the stake. Look at the history of Northern Ireland. Look at the Crusades. Antisemitism. Genocide. The Taliban. Boko Haram.

I'm not against ANY believers - as long as they're not homicidal fanatics - or their followers - or misogynists. (That's a hot button with me.) But my life - better without religion. Everyone else - you do you.

Probably the one where I wake up with a horrible hangover -- in a 'house of ill repute' in Matamoros, Mexico. I look over and there beside me is Vladimir Putin --- dead. What have I done? ...

This rumor might not be true, but Xi has supposedly been losing a lot of face for backing Russia, with Russia losing so badly so far. If Russia doesn't win, which doesn't seem likely, the Communist Party may put another leader in Xi's place. I think I heard they're having a conference in October?

I'm way out of my depth even to speculate. I'll just hope that if Xi is deposed he's not replaced by someone even worse.
