I don't think it's any sort of secret. Handing over Ukraine was a Trump campaign promise and it's one reason MAGA voted for him.

My concern for Ukraine's future is just as strong as yours. The ongoing war has resulted in the loss of many innocent lives and widespread destruction.
I speculate that President Trump’s tactics of applying pressure on the EU to contribute more could play out again, based on past patterns.
However, abandoning Ukraine is not an option.
If the war were to end and people were able to return to a sense of normalcy, what would the true cost be for Ukraine? On one hand, we hear about the posible impact of U.S. boots on the ground in Ukraine, on other hand large territory loss. A carrot and a stick approach?
I don't know and can be wrong.

Again, slower. Last week, in Munich, Trump goons tried to pressure Ukraine's representatives to sign away 50% of the country's natural resources, with NO security guarantees, just to MEET with Vance and start discussions. Zelensky refused and was scolded by Trump for that. Yes or no: do you approve of THIS behavior? Does it make you do something about it? Call your congressbot? Vote for a Democrat? Donate to a Democrat? Admit that voting for Camala was a good idea?

    From Dmitro,

I live in Kharkiv. I never fled, never ran
away from the horrors of this war. I have
seen firsthand what it means to lose
    friends, family, and my home.
But from where you are now--outside the country
-you criticize an effort that could stop
    more lives from being lost
War is not won only by heroism-
because heroes fall, and too many have
already. What happens when there are
no more heroes, only exhausted civilians
    forced into battle?
Peace is not surrender. Negotiation is
not betrayal. The real betrayal is
pretending that endless bloodshed is the
only path. I support any leader--whether
    it's Trump or anyone else--who seeks a
way to end the killing and stop this
    nightmare.
Because from where I stand, in a city
that knows the cost of war better than
most, I know that the highest price is
always paid by those who cannot leave.
So, I ask you--how do you feel, watching
from afar, as my city burns?

Aside from how blatantly manipulative this little white poem is - what in the world makes you think that Trump's attempt to blatantly, openly, egregiously shake Ukraine down for its minerals while it's bleeding constitutes seeking "peace" or engaging in "negotiations"? What kind of sick, feckless sycophant is so eager to excuse a bully - even when the bully's actions affect family you in all likelihood still have in Chernivtsi? And to think of how y'all heckled Hillary for using entirely accurate word "deplorable" for the carnival clown's groupies...
No it's not. You sold Ukraine for a red hat, made in China.

Trump has stated that Ukraine started the war war in 2022. He also claimed Zelenskyy’s approval rating was only 4% in Ukraine. What the hell? Trump is an evil liar that loves Putin is my conclusion. Putin has probably promised riches galore to Trump personally.

Also, Trump has it for Zelensky:
Trump is first and foremost a showman. The guy hosted SNL twice. Well, Soviet/Russian rough counterpart is KVN, a long-running sketch comedy competition the produced most of their comedians. It's conceit is a competition between teams representing different universities (or several universities from the same city). Volodymyr Zelensky was a KVN star, in his capacity of captain of "95 Kvartal Kryvyj Rih" team. That let to his own top-rated revue show and production company, named "Kvartal 95", and on to many, many TV and movie roles (including the one the=at made him President, "Servant of the People"). I think Trump is being a little spiteful chorus girl jealous of a much more successful, not to mention younger and more attractive, star actor.

Are you going to do this for the next 47 months?

Making such stupid assertions, Trump has either
    1. miscalculated how stupid the MAGA folks are
    2. The MAGA folks are far more stupid than I think
    3. Trump just doesn’t care if no one believes him

I don’t know which of the three choices are more likely. I guess it could be a combination?

I’m looking forward to 46 months with price of egg reminders. The 47th month won’t matter because the price of eggs will be stable by then. :emoji_cooking:

Trump isn't stupid. Don't confuse stupid with evil.

The MAGA folks believe what they want to believe. Are they stupid for accepting lies that justify their prejudices?

The thing that think matters most is that Trump does have to please anyone but himself. He's a lame duck absent another attempt to overthrow our constitution.

I agree Trump isn’t stupid. He frequently tells stupid lies though. Ukraine starting the war is an example of one of his stupid lies.

If he loses support from the MAGA folks then he loses his stranglehold on Republican Senators and congressmen.

I think he should. Everyone should. Trump made ridiculous promises and the Red Hats believed him. He should be held up to ridicule at every possible moment. He's a traitor and a Russian asset.

Just to clarify to any MAGA faithful that may be reading this, being a Russian asset is bad as is being a traitor. Russia wants to destroy the USA.

One of Trump’s key promises was to lower the cost of good, specifically eggs. I just want to know which of these actions will do that. So far none seem to be working. I am a single issue voter, and I voted for eggs.
