    Quinn,

This may have been raised here before, though I couldn't find it.

Is there a special meaning to the signet, or seal, in your signature line? If so, can you share that and give us brief history of it?

    Thank you in advance.

Sorry I didn't catch this query sooner. I just noted it while searching through threads.

It all depends which symbol you mean. If you meant the single cross -- that's the Jerusalem Cross (aka the Crusader's Cross). Information on that can be found here:

    http://www.godweb.org/jerusalemcross.htm

The particular cross displayed is a scan of the cross I wear on my neck:

    http://members.shaw.ca/qtj/images/JerusalemCross.jpg

(It's much smaller than that scan. The original graphic was about the actual size.)

If you meant the shield -- that's my device. It's a device, rather than arms, because I hold no patent of arms on it. Information on that can be found here:

    http://members.shaw.ca/qtj/JacksonDevice.html

The device also has the Jerusalem Cross on it, amongst other heraldic symbols. The Jerusalem Cross is the unofficial regalia of my Order (q.v. "About Quinn" on my website for further information) -- and thus its inclusion on the device.

    Hope that answers your question.

The old you reminded me of Eric Stoltz in Killing Zoe. :D

Thanks. My stint as Chief Architect seems to have had lasting effects. ;)

Vastly improved pix, Quinn. This one looks quite good. Quinn with a quiff. Well done!

The old one looked like an intern who just got fired by Rasputin.

I note on the About page you have the following entry.

If I recall correctly, in an earlier thread when I asked about the title, you said that it was something you did not wish to discuss or disclose over the internet, preferring to maintain some privacy. May I please ask what changed your mind?

I gave it a lot of thought and prayer after reading an email from a certain party who shall remain nameless (unless he or she brings it up him or herself).

Whatever happened to me in the past with stalking, is the past. I've forgiven whoever did it, and moved on. I admit to still having some psychological scars from the experience, but have accepted that those scars must not be allowed to define and rule how I live my life in the present or steer me towards a troubled future.

I cross the road when the light is green, and try to live my life in a way that doesn't interfere with others' pursuit of happiness and self-expression. If others out there do not wish to play by the same rules -- they have my sincere pity for the sorrowful state of their psyches. Do I conduct my life as well as I see fit -- or do I allow past trauma to conduct my life for me? I elected freedom from the traumas of the past.

Anyone who's known me for any amount of time knows that I live by my beliefs, and have always tried to walk the path that I proclaim. If there is indeed substance behind those beliefs, and if the path is indeed worthwhile, then what's to hide? I've publicly stated that I am styled Chevalier -- and now it's known by virtue of which order. It's up to the individual to decide whether they wish to jump for joy or attempt to assassinate my name. I put the responsibility for others' conduct on them, and for mine on myself.

Anyone who doesn't like my affiliations, or whatever, and spends more than a few moments on the matter -- has issues beyond what I am going to spend my waking moments worrying about. I live my life by certain codes. I encourage others to avoid harm to others, to society, and to themselves. The rest is from everyone's heart to God's ears -- not for me to control or try to control. I lament that some of the godawful nastiness continues. I cringe in an all too human way when some anonymous person calls my wife a "sand n*****" publicly -- the way any healthy person would cringe.

But I won't be intimidated by it.

It's better to deserve honor, and not have it, then to have it, and not deserve it.

My condolences to anyone who decides to waste his or her life in the endless and fruitless pursuit of trying to break my spirit. Such an awesome waste of time and energy. As say the words of "Them Ecclesiastes Blues" -- I was born, bent and broken -- and I'm going to die, cold and naked -- just the way we all came in. Anyone so obsessed with my life and decisions who would wish to spend his or her time tearing down what I have tried to build in my life -- won't bring me to any more cold or naked state than that which I already exist in. They'll succeed only in tearing down their own particular achievements by lowering themselves to the level of attacker.

That's the short answer to your question. The long answer is: "I'm not important enough for it to be any other way." ;)

You'll pardon my typos -- then instead of than... et cetera. Forgot to proofread. :D
