    Hi All,
I'm a BSBA student at TESC. Now that I'm closing in on completing
my degree my wife has started to come around to the advantages of DL programs.

She's an RN and I'm researching RN to BSN programs for her. I know Excelsior is a big gun in the biz but I'd love some feedback from anyone out there with experience with any DL RN/BSN program.

Which gives the most credit for RN licensure? Which takes the most CLEP/DSST's?

    Thanks for any info,

    Mike

Hi Mike - Don't count me an expert, but many states have articulation agreements that allow a practicing RN to complete the BS N with 30 units (1 year of study). Colorado has such a program. You can check out allnursingschools.com to find some online programs for RN to BSN.

    Good luck!

    Mike,
You are on the right track asking questions on Boards and researching, researching, researching...There are so many programs now to take nurses from RN to BSN. As you mentioned, Excelsior is one of the big names and I can vouch for their excellence, however, in case you haven't already found out, they do not give credit for any aspect of her nursing. They require extensive testing (both written and practical) to demonstrate her proficiency. This is more easily done by a new grad as all specialties must be covered (just like when she was in nursing school) pediatrics, obstetrics, psych, med/surg and the more experienced we are the more likely we are to have forgotten those other fields...so keep looking. I'm sure you will find the perfect program for her.
