Since we’re talking “spinoffs”, Western New England University (originally Western New England College) started off as the western satellite campus of Northeastern University.

I worked across the hall from them for two years at Hanscom AFB and worked with them every day. And I never knew that. We sent a lot of students to WNEC, and a lot to Northeastern, too.

Given that Purdue Global diplomas are signed by the Purdue University President, I would say that is strong confirmation that Purdue Global is Purdue, and that graduates can rightly consider themselves "Boilermakers."

You might say that, but it doesn't make it so. They have separate governance, separate faculties, and separate institutional accreditation, and that's because they are separate institutions.

I am not sure your point lands considered those would be the obvious realities given that Global was an acquired entity.

While I cannot speak to this first hand since I am neither a student nor a graduate of the institution, from what I have gathered, the Purdue President's signature appears on Global diplomas, Global graduates attend graduation at Purdue's West Lafayette campus, and they are considered Purdue alumni.

The poster I was responding to was posing the question as to whether Purdue considers Purdue Global to be Purdue, and based off what I have seen, the answer to that question appears to be yes.

I made three points, not one, and it's not that they didn't "land", it's that you ignored them because they don't fit your preferred conclusion.

Your attempt to make points about my response to another poster didn't land because they were irrelevant and didn't refute anything I said.

I don't have a dog in this fight, so I am not interested in the back-and-forth.

If you want to give yourself an A for effort, you're welcome to do that.

So, you don't have a dog in this fight, yet you showed up out of nowhere to express that one specific belief, are impervious to any disagreement with it, and immediately get snarky about it. Got it.
