    Citing concerns about DEI, the U.S. Department of Education has halted funding for programs that support students with combined hearing and vision loss in eight states.

    “How low can you go?” one advocate asked. “How can you do this to children?”

    I think it's clear that I'm not this board's preeminent advocate for government spending, nor am I one to usually say "won't someone please think of the children?" but considering that these are the most vulnerable children I can think of, even I find this reptilian.

    Being born with a disability shouldn’t preclude one from access to education.
