I have decided to take the GRE psyc in hopes of getting a second bachelors. I am excited and nervous at the same time, this is the test is worth more than any other test I have taken so you bet the pressure is on. I bough the cracking the GRE psyc book and Kaplan's gre book as well. I have high hopes of doing well. Has anyone else here taken this test and if you how did it go?
Are you taking it April, October, or November? I am taking it in April. I like the Kaplan and Princeton review books, too. I recommend the following as well: http://webcast.berkeley.edu/course_details.php?seriesid=1906978464 Have you taken the exam in the ETS booklet yet to get an idea about your possible score? I have also bought the following older exam: http://www.amazon.com/Gre-Practicing-Take-Psychology-Test/dp/0446395714/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1202675618&sr=8-16

While you are waiting for other posts, see: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=473476 http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=487106 http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft%3A*%3AIE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7DKUS&q=+site%3Aforums.studentdoctor.net+psych+gre Personally, though I have not taken the Psych GRE before, I am very optimistic as well, especially after having taken the computer science subject test, which I did not do well on. Compared to the other subject tests by ETS, the Psych exam is very easy since it mostly involves just recollection of facts. At this point, after studying a few hours a week for the last 2 months, I can answer most of the questions within a few seconds of reading them. The only thing, IMHO, to be wary of is the breath of the exam. At least with the computer science exam, most people underestimate the wide range of topics covered.
Since Excelsior requires a score of 685 on the Psych GRE to get the maximum 30 credits, this is very encouraging as well:
wow, there is a lot of great information here. I think this will help a lot Thanks. I think I am going to take the one in April, that is if I am ready by then. I have only taken psyc 101 but I have taken 3 pysc cleps and scored well. I think I have a good shot at picking up another degree here. If not, oh well, the navy is paying for it.
