Women in tech still face so much hurdles. Women in game design and other tech sectors are still facing blatant misogyny from their male counterparts. That's why I'm proud of my role model, Brianna Wu, who is a strong woman in tech who has been empowering equality in the tech industry for the past 20 years. Brianna Wu even tried to run for congress but had to resign because she was threatened by alt-right men in tech. She had to face the ire of gamergate in 2012. She had to flee her house because they threatened to kill her and her husband. All that never stopped Brianna from continuing her fight against cybercriminality. Brianna wants a safer internet and a safer virtual world for us all. She has criticized the hidden use of cookies several times, has criticized Facebook's meagre compliance with data retention policy and she has been talking to the FBI since 1999 about internet criminality. Brianna also wants to gather more resources to stimulate tech development in schools in Massachusetts, where technology education is behind, according to miss Wu herself. Brianna is a graduate of Ole Miss. She graduated in journalism, in politics and in engineering. She is currently a software engineer. She has founded her own studio : Giant Space Kat.
