Already a licensed health care provider? I was accepted into the PA program at USC several years ago. One of the conditions for admission was a current license as a health care provider in the state of California, such as RN, RRT, RT, PharmD, etc. I did not begin the program because I discovered I was finally pregnant after many years of trying to have a baby, so maybe acceptance into a PA program is a potential cure for infertility. At the time, there were only 3 programs in S. California: USC, Drew/King Medical Center, and Osteopath College in Pomona, so an online program has its appeal. Check with your state board to find out which programs are accepted. Once you become a PA, you should never experience difficulty securing employment. As a RRT, I receive offers from around the country nearly everyday, so the same may be true for other health care occupations.
