Yes. Also, not much to discuss: DoD tightening policies in one of their programs - I mean, of course they are, they have literally thousands of senior officers whose job is to do that. Yawn.
You know what else is an off topic? Advertising your own threads in the "off topic" section. Duh.

Turning it into a political rant about "foreign infiltration" is.

Stanislav, the Pentagon program you are referring to deals exclusively with foreigners. Additionally, as a foreigner yourself, it is a very important topic to you, as evidenced by your continued discussion of it.

Stanislav, please share your opinion with the whole world -- on the internet -- right here.

Stanislav, no advertising fee was paid, so what's your point?

Yeah; most Pentagon programs deal with foreigners; they are constitutionally banned from projecting force domestically. Of more interest to me is a program to train Ukrainian troops; American instructors are reportedly terrific, and the nation can't be more grateful. Seriously: thank you, thank you, thank you!

Other than me learning about this program years ago and briefly considering enlisting (as a Russian interpreter), this has nothing to do with me. Of course, I would have failed the fitness test if I tried it.

    Who said anything about fees?

You really need to try being more coherent.

After reading and rereading what you are trying to say, it appears that:
    1. There is a significant language barrier that prevents you from articulating what you really want to say.
    2. Or your just plain wrong and you don't know it yet.

It's probably a little of both. Either way:
    1. It's called the Posse Comitatus Act
    2. It's not Constitutionally based (it's an Act, as decimon discretely noted).
    3. It can be enforced domestically (nationally or regionally), based on specific criteria.
    4. It's an Act that is subject to legislative change, based on the needs of the nation.

Gee, thanks. Do you think the nation needs or might need in the near future to allow the military to operate domestically (on domestic targets, that is)? Is this view widespread in your corner of Trumpist field? Scary, scary stuff. And yeah, I believe the reason it's not in the Constitution is because the standing army is not in it, so framers didn't see the need.

The Pentagon's mission is to provide a capability, if need arises, to deal with foreigners; that is, to kill numbers of them in the most efficient fashion. So yeah, most of its programs "deal exclusively" with foreigners.

That's not from the Constitution. It's the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 (i.e., the end of Reconstruction) that prevents the U.S. Army (and, as amended, Air Force) from being used to carry out domestic policy.

As I said: thanks. It's a policy so self-evident I just assumed it's in the Constitution, even though I've read the document few years back and, yeah, it's not there.

    I did in 1967.

    MacArthur did in 1932.

Stanislav, yes, Americans and foreigners love Trump, but leftists, communists and socialistic liberals do not care for him. However, Trump's winning of a second term in office is proof positive of how much Americans love him. It's going to be a fast eight years.

Stanislav, the goal of terrorists is to disturb people. Please don't be disturbed any more than what you already are. The Americans will protect you and your kind because someone has to.

Stanislav, Article I, Section 8 and Clause 12 is called the Army Clause in the U.S. Constitution. It's good reading.

Stanislav, you're going to be okay. The Americans will safeguard you. Relax.

Predicting the future can be difficult. However, as a foreigner, here is a prediction exclusively for you: President Donald J. Trump will serve two full terms in office in the United States.

Stanislav, military police were also placed on domestic flights in the 1960s (and 1970s?) to thwart hijackings. How quickly people forget.

Then how come the majority of Americans did not vote for him the first time around? Awkward!
