Greetings all, I read a short post on Penn State from about a month ago and was wondering if anyone has ever taken any of their credit courses through DE? I have never been to college and only have a GED, Im not to experienced in the college shopping business but Penn State seems to be the best I can find out there that offers credits to folks that have never been to college and only have a GED. I just want to make sure Im doing the best thing for me before I shell out $600 to take my first class. Thanks for any info. Vex
Whenever this topic arises, it turns out there is a huge range in the cost of distance courses -- like under $50 a unit up to more than $300 a unit. And there seems to be no clear correlation between cost and quality. So you might want to shop around a bit. I hope someone can come up with the list I made a couple of years ago of the per unit costs for many schools, or something comparable. Seems to be the real bargains were in Texas.

Upwards, of course. As I had the data, I began plugging it into an Access database table and will add to it as time permits. ------------------ Bill Gossett
