Hello everyone. Forgive me if this has been addressed before. I'm sure it must have been, but I can't find a related thread.

I've enrolled in Penn Foster's Art Appreciation course a la carte (will transfer back in to my local college). When I received the email with course access information, it mentioned that if I did not want to wait for my book shipment, that I could access the book online.

I've spent the past half hour trying to find out where the heck this online version of the book is. All I can find is a study guide linked to each lesson, but this study guide specifically mentions not to do the coursework without the book.

What's the deal? Anybody know where this phantom ebook is? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like something that would best be answered by the school. Can you call or email your instructor?

I took that course and I vaguely remember the same thing. The book isn't very big so it very well could be in an online format but I don't remember ever being able to find it either and I think that it was just a mistake. I know I had to wait for the book to arrive.

They can contact a school 1-800 number but it is a correspondence course so there is no instructor.

I've don this course too, I am not sure what JBjunior is referring to (per size, it's 528 pages), but there is a full standard textbook for this course that is shipped by mail. You will also get a printed out pdf of the course outline guidebook which is available online. You will not be able to complete the course until you receive the standard textbook via the mail.

    fyi, the textbook is: http://www.coursesmart.com/cengage-advantage-books-the-power-of-art/lewis-lewis/dp/9780534641030

You are right BrandeX. I was thinking about the white book that comes directly from Penn Foster, made by them, that says Art Appreciation. I don't really remember digging through that book too much but when I clicked on your link it reminded me. I took that and literature at the same time and the literature book was about 3" thick and small print.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll get access to the online version whenever they process the hardcopy shipment.
