Penn Foster Essentials of Business Security

It appears that this is a new program? Does anyone have any experience with it? This is exactly the type of career that I am currently working on pursuing further. I have worked in private security for a number of years now and would like to further my marketability. I have a Bachelor's in an unrelated field (Christian Ministry), while I would like to further my education, I'm just not sure I want to plunk down 9000 on a degree from APU in Security management. I do have some of that experience as well, not just in Security but in other fields as well.

I don't have any experience with this program, but I do have experience with Penn Foster. I have found their courses to be very challenging and their materials to be very good. I've taken 6 or 8 classes with them and my wife has one assignment left in the Penn Foster Paralegal program. She has been equally impressed with PF.

As a side note, I don't think it's fair to compare this program to a degree from APU. While I am certain the Penn Foster courses are comprehensive and challenging, it is still a certificate program. APU offers a degree.

You've got a point there about not comparing the two equally.

Anyone have any thoughts on this program in particular? Or maybe recommendation for another program that would carry more weight?
