Hi, I was wondering if anyone had experience with this career diploma program at Penn Foster? I'm looking into it as recreational education for myself, but I am wondering if it actually takes 6 months to complete it and how well received it is as a credential in the profession.

    Thanks in advance. :D

Oops, I should have linked it:

It looks like a great program. I have a friend doing the automotive repair diploma and he says his modules each take about a month or so to complete and that the open book tests are very challenging.

How is he doing the "hands-on" portion? Is he working on his own car, or is he doing some sort of co-op work experience with a local shop?

He's using his own car. He's mentioned that he wants to buy a junker to fix, though.
