Hi, I'm looking for an operating systems course given distance learning, they seem to be hard to find (at under $1000). If you know of any an email would be greatly appreciated. Thanx, [email protected]
University of Charleston has partnered with SmartForce and has distance OS classes. If you are remotely connected to the military it's free. Dave A
I've had pretty good luck searching Excelsior's DistanceLearn database (all forms of distance learning) available at http://www.lifelonglearning.com -- and MindEdge (online only). Try MindEdge's advanced search at http://www.mindedge.com/splid/splidSearch.phtml?sID=d613dce34ed312c7b991c6b77eabd033 (that's a darn long URL; you might do better to go to http://www.mindedge.com/ and click on Advanced Search). ------------------ Kristin Evenson Hirst DistanceLearn.About.com
Thomas Edison offers a reasonably priced Offering System course (COSC 352) They are found at: www.tesc.edu The school will allow you to just take one course without signing up for their program. I am going to take the ICCP Systems Programming course for the same Operating Systems credit (at Excelsior). If things don't go my way on the exam, I will take the TESC course. (It's offered in January 02, with registration open now...)
