Applying the too-good-to-be-true rule, this institution is sounding the alarm bells.

The pgce course, which is for 420 pounds, and is a 3 months course, is really tempting.

The only thing that stops me from going for it is that i have a hunch i will end up with a worthless piece of paper.

Any opinions on Rise University? Is it trying to make itself be confused with Rice Uni?

They claim accreditation via a fake accreditor, they have no meaningful contact information, and they hide the identity of those who control them through a domain name proxy.

    Nice web site, though.

It is a diploma mill. Stay away. The too good to be true rule fits here.

They have blocked their location on their web registration -- unusual for a university. I could find no clue as to where they are located, or the names of any faculty or administration. Their "24/7" chat line is not answering, nor is their "24/7" live answering service. Otherwise, I see no problems.

I thought the IAO sounded familiar ... same "accreditation" that our good "friends" MUST University claims. :D

In fact, compare the list of "schools" within RISE with MUST ... they seem to offer the exact same programs ... hmmmmmm ...

Even though they don't really look the same, I had the eerie feeling of familiarity in browsing their website, and decided to backtrack a bit into familiar territory- good old MUST University. Imagine my lack of surprise when I found out that they both claim the same fake accreditor.

Rise also uses similar marketing tactics as MUST. Rise used Yahoo! Answers to post a question about itself, then used other accounts to post favorable answers to the question. Exactly like what MUST has done on YouTube.

If there is anything that can be said for these two "universities," its that they have really nice looking websites, and probably will print you up a really nice looking diploma. It might even look nicer than a real diploma, but no, it will not be a real diploma.

Interestingly enough, I can not find a list of "accredited" schools from the IAO website. The only proof of even their fake accreditation is the logo that appears on their respective websites. Therefore, I have decided that, as of today, this post is IAO accredited. PM me for a live chat. For a DEMO on how my academic programs work, open up a .pdf and click print.

i read about MUST uni but never went to their website. now that i did, the similarities in phrasing offers by both MUST and RISE are uncanny.

if i have to guess, their next franchise uni would be named www.beforelawsuituniversity.com

Maniac, that's the ticket, start you own mill. You could make it rich! You will never have to work again! You could call it Must Rise U! :)
