Online PhD History or Political Science

I am currently working on an online M.A. in History, which should be complete in March. I want to get a PhD online. I want a Ph.D. in History, however there are no reputable online Ph.D. in History programs. I am wondering if there are any online Ph.D. in Political Science programs, I minored in Political Science during my undergrad. Or perhaps, a Ph.D. in Political History. Or just post any history related doctorate that can be earned online.

Faulkner University Faulkner University offers an online PhD in History through the lens of the Great Books of the Western World.
The University of Leicester University of Leicester offers a PhD in Archaeology & Ancient History by distance learning.
The University of Leicester University of Leicester offers a PhD in Politics by distance learning.
As for political science doctorates, would a PhD in Public Policy or a DPA be of interest to you?

 

You have to be careful with Public Policy. There are some institutions that consider it separate from Political Science.

Don't forget, you can negotiate with a school to create something that fits you. You can't expect to do this by applying blind and cold, but if you've cultivated a relationship (say, by getting to know a faculty member with similar interests you yours), you'd be surprised what you can create. IMHO, this is even more so at foreign universities.

 

Sort of like political science is international relations.
