The respect is coming a little bit at a time. I am currently recruiting for an instructional designer position to design online courses and training. In the evaluation criteria that we are using, online or hybrid degrees are actually favored over B&M degrees.
Which makes perfect sense, given the venue is to design online courses and training - who better than someone who has earned their degree the non B&M way.
