Online but reputable Masters from a "real" school

I agree that many online degrees are as good, if not better, than many B&M schools. Sadly many people don't view it that way. I'm searching for a an IT related degree (CIS, maybe even MIS, or IA) that is available online without GREs from a 'real' school. So far, I've found Colorado State University. Are there any others that folks are aware of?

I just finished a MS in CIS from Boston University. That meets all of your stated requirements as well, so you might want to check it out. If you have any questions about it, just let me know.

For some reason, I thought SMU requires GRE for the Telecoms MS. Are you sure GRE is not a requirement for this degree (I know it is a professional degree)? I need to check again because I need a Telecoms Master degree under my belt so bad.

So what's the problem with taking the GRE, anyway?

I have no idea...people seem to think the GRE is a "make or break" decision for the admissions department. I heard they don't even weigh the score heavily in the decision making process. It's not *that* big of a deal, outside of being annoying to have to take it. Not taking the GRE certainly closes the door to many great choices for grad programs. Also, unlike the LSAT, admissions usually say that they only consider your highest score, so there's no reason not to take it, other than maybe financial. I'm definitely going to take it because all of the best MS Computer Science programs, other than Urbana-Champaign, require it.

No, it doesn't. I graduated from there with the program.

Don't forget you can get a cheap option with University of Colorado at Boulder with MS in Telecommunications. I think they requires GRE, but not 100% sure.

Yeah, there are: Capella University, Northcentral University, Aspen University, Walden University, Jones International University, Columbia Southern University, Andrew Jackson University, and etc. These are real online schools without any B&M campuses. lol

Thanks for the feedback and links. Much appreciated. I haven't reached a decision yet, although I'm leaning towards just going the nontraditional online route with the WGU Information Assurance program. The IT industry certifications that come along with the coursework are worthwhile. Of course I could get the certs on my own, but would like to get my masters.

But that's okay, because there are no real brick and mortar schools either.
