I've been exploring the DBA program at Nova Southeastern and it looks very promising. I had originally ruled it out, but just today I discovered that they have a National location for their weekend classes only 1 hour from my parents (translation, babysitters!). This is very promising, so I'd love to hear from others in the program. I tried to do a search, but nothing came up, although I know it's been discussed at length before. I also was unable to find their tuition on the website, I'm not sure if I missed it or they have it "hidden". Thanks in advance. I'm SO exicted about this possiblity. Of course, I'll have to take the dreaded GMAT, but.......
I've had one heck of a time finding their tuition info myself. Apparently their MEd tuition is $360/hr., but quite often MEd tuition and DBA tuition are two entirely different beasts. - Theo. Congratulations on getting into the program. Keep us posted on your progress. Tell me (actually, make that us) if you find their DBA tuition info. Also, you might PM Andy Borchers. He earned his DBA at Nova Southeastern University www.nova.edu in 1996.
Tuition info from Nova PROGRAM FEES Tuition for all doctoral course offerings/credits beginning May 1, 2005 is $690.00 per credit hour. A Registration Fee of $25.00 and a Student Services Fee is payable each term when a student registers. Registrations submitted after the regular registration period will automatically be charged a $200.00 late registration fee. In addition to the standard program fees, the Bursars office charges a $50.00 deferred payment fee for all non-paid registrations, returned checks and rejected credit cards. SPECIAL SEMINAR FEES: Fees are assessed to provide for administrative costs associated with workshops and selected courses. These fees are in addition to the tuition for the course. Seminar fees are non-refundable and are not associated with any additional fees which may be required by a professional association. SEMINAR/WORKSHOP FEES CSA 6080 Professional Studies Workshop $50.00 Comprehensive Examination Fee $50.00 CSA 6072 Online Communications and Internet Competency Fee $50.00 FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION: Students must apply for and be awarded financial aid in order to receive loan monies. In addition, they must register for at least four graduate credit hours or be consecutively enrolled in two-credit dissertation units (6091, 6092, 6093, and 6094) each term to receive these funds. Students not registered for at least four graduate credit hours (or an acceptable two-credit unit) when their loan checks are ready for disbursement will not be eligible to receive the funds. These monies will then be returned to the lender. Also, please be aware that when applying for financial aid, students must list their intended attendance pattern for that period. This attendance pattern must match the student’s actual enrollments. If your course selections for a term change for any reason after you have already indicated the attendance pattern on your financial aid paperwork, it will be necessary for you to contact Nova Southeastern's Office of Student Financial Aid. Your loan periods will then have to be adjusted. If these actions are not taken, it may result in your loan monies being returned to the lender, even though you are currently registered for at least four graduate credit hours. RECEIPTS: Students needing a receipt for tuition and fees are encouraged to visit Webstar and print an account summary.

Re: Tuition info from Nova Wow! Where did you get all this good information? I had a horrible time trying to find even the MEd tuition figure! Anyways, thanks for the info!
I'm in the MIBA program and when you log in you have access to a wealth of program info. I would have thought they would provide open access to tuition info, though, somewhere on their main site. I guess they want you to call them so they can do their sales pitch.
At $690 an hour, I'm not surprised NSU doesn't put the tuition rates on its website. (I can never find them for the DBA, either.) Assuming 60 s.h. for the degree, ignoring books and other fees, and excluding travel costs (which vary widely for each student), the tuition alone would be about 42 large. Geez, and I thought Union was expensive! Funny, but NSU's tuition is right in line with proprietary schools offering the doctorate, like Capella, Argosy, Walden, TUI, NCU, and UoP. Go figure.
