Has anyone had any first hand experience with, or been privy to, the quality of the Executive Certificates offered through the University of Notre Dame (through University Alliance)? For those who are unaware, here's the brief. ND offers 3 executive certificates in Negotiation, Leadership and Management, and Business Administration. Each concentration consists of three courses, 8 weeks in length, delivered through pre-recorded/streaming videos, chat rooms, faculty office hours, and tests. Each E-series certificate runs $5,600. ( Business Administration Online | Business Administration Certificate ) Here is my particular scenario. I work in public safety. I have a Masters from The George Washington University, am a published author, and currently work as an adjunct faculty member at a large university. I am considering the E-Cert in Business Administration because I do not have much of a base in this particular area and I am finding that it would be especially beneficial. I don't mind the price, the name value of the cert is obviously substantial, and the courses are all taught by ND Business school faculty. Unfortunately, there aren't many reviews - positive or negative - out there regarding the quality of the programs. Now, I know there is a vast base of experiences on this Discussion Board, so I am interested in knowing if anyone has had any experiences with either these programs specifically, or any of the University Alliance programs. Any reviews or feedback anyone could provide would be especially helpful. Thanks,
I haven't heard alotabout NDs offerings, but the reputation is fantastic. Have you considered the certs through Cornell? While Mendoza is a great b-school, the Johnson school and it's faculty is more prestigious. Prices seem similar. I'm not trying to disuade you from ND, but I know people that have completed certs through eCornell and they all speak highly of the experience.
Thanks for the heads up AU. I haven't looked at the Cornell Cert, so I will check that out now. I am amazed that I can't find more info regarding the ND program. It is a big school, offering some recognizable certs, you would think there would be more information out there regarding their quality. Ah well, the search continues!
Southside! I'm interested in this certificate as well... I'm also going through the same dilemma. Just to throw it out there, the other options I also have are certificates from UCLA and UC Berkeley. I'm interested in knowing which you ended up going with, so let me know! =)
