Great, send them an annual bill for it.

These freeloaders didn't pay their bill for WWII yet. Because fighting is all about money. Right? Right???

Norway is making the right call; after years of caching the "peace dividend", US Military may be the only capable fighting force in the free world. With small exceptions, like Canadian Armed Forces (that can play support to Americans; not amount to much on their own), Israelis, and battle-tested Ukrainians (issues with equipment and on command level, corrupt political leadership). And yes, they and other NATO allies should start investing more in their militaries, stat.

As for Russia: Carthago delenda est. Which applies to its Western useful idiots, which may or may not include a certain element in the White House.

There's a difference between running over to help your neighbor when his house is on fire, and being asked to pay for his fire insurance premiums.

Well, for sure NATO allies in Western Europe should pay more (spend more on defence; not necessarily pay US protection money). Especially the likes of Germany and Norway, among the richest in the world (aren't the only NATO countries except US who adhere to 2% GDP commitment Poland and Estonia?). They have no reason to freeload quite as much.

Having said that, it might not make sense to wait until that happens before positioning some troops to counter the Russian threat. Carthago delenda est.

All the more reason for Norwegians to build up their own military, particularly since they actually do share a land border with Russia.

Although the bear isn't what it once was, and I think the only place the Russians could ever really take over Norway is on Okkupert.

Since 2013, a lot of things happened that I didn't think could ever really happen.
