The Tuesday business section of the Kansas City Star listed a new employee at the consulting firm RSM McGladrey as having a business degree from Nettleton University. I could not find any information in several searches for this "school". It is also not on the Oregon site. Diploma Mill?

Well growing up in western Minnesota I was the recipient of recruiting brochures for Nettleton Business College in Sioux Falls, SD. If I recall correctly it was essentially a private vo-tech school with programs of one or two year's duration.

It's not listed on the CHEA as accredited, but cannot comment as to whether the school is a mill. There are some legitimate state-approved vocational schools that serve their purpose.

    Most likely Nettleton College

There was once a "Nettleton College" in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It apparently closed in 1998. See:

Don't know what kind of accreditation it had. But it appears that the Governor of South Dakota and a US Senator were concerned about its closure, which suggests that it was most likely a legitimate school.

    The announcement said "Nettleton University".

    The terms are easily confused

Most likely the PR flack who prepared the press release for the paper confused the terms "college" and "university", which is easy to do if you are not familiar with the institution in question.

What's that Ivy League school in New Hampshire? Dartmouth University, right? Nope - it's actually Dartmouth "College".
