Just thought I'd share this email with the NG

    ---------------------------------------------

This is an exciting time at Northcentral University. Our enrollment has doubled in the past six months. We now have over 500 Learners enrolled at NCU. As you know, we also received Candidacy status in June of 2001. We are now ready to take the next step, achieving Initial Regional Accreditation.

We have just received official notice that The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association will be sending a team to Prescott on October 14-16, 2002. The purpose of this visit is to evaluate our University and to make a recommendation for Accreditation.

We would like as much help as we can get to try and achieve this milestone. I would personally like to invite you to Prescott to participate in this event. In January of 2001, we had over 30 Learners who attended and were interviewed by the visiting site team for Candidacy. This time we would like even more of you here.

If you are able to come to Prescott on these dates, please let us know so we can plan for your attendance. You may contact Lee Everest, your Learner Affairs Advisor, at (888) 327-2877, extension 8042, or you may email her at [email protected] .
There is a lot of work to do in preparation for this event. All of the staff in Prescott are working very hard to make this dream a reality. You may be asked individually to help in some fashion. If you would like to volunteer to perform some needed function, please let us know. One way you can help is to become a member of the Academic Affairs Interest Group (AAIG). This group will participate in reviewing and responding to academic policies and procedures that is examined by the Academic Affairs Committee. You will also be invited to attend these meetings by teleconference. To join, please go to learners.ncu.edu and click on AAIG. Another way you can help is to send us a short description of how higher education through Northcentral University's distance learning programs has made a difference in your life and career. Please send these to Laurie McCown at [email protected].
I want to thank all of you for your support of NCU as we prepare for this event. With all of us working together, I believe that we can accomplish our goal.
