That's a modern-day solution if I ever saw one. Avoid having demoralized staff by getting rid of the staff so there's no one left to demoralize.
As I understand, Elon wants Twitter to be the "everything app" like China's WeChat. Elon also likes Tiktok and would like Twitter to offer those types of videos. So whoever they fire, they shouldn't fire any of the software engineers.
