ACBSP is publicizing their next theme earlier in the year to give people more time to respond, conduct research and prepare their scholarly contributions.

    'Preparing Students for Career Success'

There are two scholarly publication outlets.
    1) Transnational Journal of Business, a new publication, Emmanating from the ACBSP Homse Office.

    2) Region 8 Journal, published annually since 2009.

The Region 8 Journal will focus on works presented at Region 8's November 23-27, 2016 Conference in Dubai.

    Cheers,

ACBSP Region 8 in Dubai November 23-27, 2016
Theme: Preparing Students for Career Success
Scholarly events held during the day are at Higher Colleges of Technology, Dubai Women's College.
Evening social events are held near the parts of Dubai called Al Garhoud, and Dubai Marina which are both close to the DXB Airport.
The weather in Dubai in late November is very comfortable.

    Just a couple of updates...
Scholarly Papers are starting to come in and these go through a double blind peer review process.
Barbara Butts-William Executive Dean of Business, Capella University as well as the American University of Leadership are among the early confirmed registrants.
It looks like ACBSP will have a new Director of European Operations present, and the Chief Accreditation Officer, Dr. Steve Parscale

Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs
    And
    ACBSP Region 8 Journal

This year we have two student events...both with cash prizes and a chance for the winners to attend, expenses paid, the ACBSP Annual conference in Anaheim.

Every full price registrant gets a free Cesim Business Simulation Global Challenge entry; teams do not have to travel to Dubai and can compete online in real time.

A Real World Case Study called the Innovator's Chamber, teams do need to physically attend in Dubai and they'll compete solving a real world industry problem.

In addition to the scholarly tracks, there will be ACBSP informational sessions, several key vendors will be present, Cesim, American University of Leadership, Peregrine Academics and McGraw-Hill among others. Discussion of standards will include interpretations of new stricter accreditation requirements regarding 1) public outcomes reporting and 2) governmental recognition as a degree granting institution, so this conference is an important communication channel for Global accreditation as most attendees are based in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa.
