The flare-up unfolded when protesters, dressed in all black, started throwing rocks, bricks, fireworks and Molotov cocktails at cops in what police have described as a “coordinated attack.”

"At least some of the nearly three dozen people arrested for hurling Molotov cocktails and bricks at cops during a protest at a future Atlanta police training facility are allegedly part of an “international group.”

Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr told Fox News on Monday that some of the 35 people detained over Sunday’s violent protest outside the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center — dubbed “Cop City” — were French and Canadian citizens.

“Some of those arrested yesterday were from Massachusetts and New York and France and Canada,” Carr said.

“So this is a national network, an international group of people that are organized to come to our state to undermine a public safety training center.”

Of the 35 people arrested, 23 have been charged with domestic terrorism, police said Monday.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the others will be slapped with the same charges."

Antifa was reportedly living in a self-proclaimed autonomous zone in the woods. When the police arrived, there was an exchange of gunfire between Antifa members and the police, resulting in the death of at least one Antifa member.

Antifa FAFO what happens when you shoot at police.

This incident is said to be a retaliation for the killing of the Antifa member by the police.

    ABC news
    "
a group of people changed into black clothing and entered the construction area at around 5:30 p.m. ET. The "agitators" approached officers there and launched a "coordinated attack," according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Twenty-three of the 35 protesters arrested Sunday were charged overnight with felony domestic terrorism, a charge Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum said reflects the "very violent" nature of the attack.

"This wasn't about a public training center, this was about anarchy and this was about an attempt to destabilize," Schierbaum said at a news conference Sunday night. "When you throw commercial grade fireworks, when you throw Molotov cocktails, large rocks, a number of items at officers, your only intent is to harm."

Police officials noted that 21 of the suspects charged with domestic terrorism were from out of state, some from as far away as Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New York. Two protesters charged are from other countries, one France and another from Canada, according to police.
    "

Police continue to investigate the incident. Both the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the FBI are also conducting a probe.

Sunday's clashes came as the GBI investigates multiple law enforcement officers in the Jan. 18 fatal shooting of an environmental activist during a raid on protesters camped out in the forest. Several large protests have occurred in downtown Atlanta over the death of 26-year-old Manuel Esteban Paez Teran, prompting Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp to declare a state of emergency on Jan. 26.

The difference between ABC reporting and the NY Post reporting is that the ABC reporting was factual whereas the right wing media was trying to paint a picture of ANTIFA that is super scary conspiracy outfit that is trying to take over the world. All the while couched in sneering ridicule that somehow paints the Democrats as responsible.

Do we see the Democratic party or the left leaning media defending Antifa? Of course not. Unlike the January 6 insurrectionists being defended by the Republican party and right leaning media.

The media activity runs cover for Antifa by not reporting their attacks or downplaying them. The constant media narrative of don't trust the police, police are evil, and police are racist all help to embolden Antifa.

Beatlejuice the woke leftest Chicago mayor that publicly stated that she doesn't take questions from white reporters, got 16% of the vote. I guess it turns out, Chicago got sick of crime going up. Go figure.

Antifa is a gift to Republicans.

Antifa is not a grand organization. Antifa is a loose affiliation of local activists scattered across the United States and a few other countries. I don't believe your empty unsupported assertions that the constant media narrative of don't trust the police or your assertion that the media is downplaying Antifa problems. There are some racist police, of course. Just like there is a percentage of racists in most all careers.

The right seems to exaggerate Antifa at every turn they can. For example, the weeks after January 6 the right media kept falsely claiming that the rioters were Antifa. However Antifa is a loose affiliation of local activists scattered across the United States and a few other countries. So for example NY Post and Fox News blamed the attacks on Antifa. CBS did not. Why not? Probably because there was zero evidence that any organization calling itself Antifa was doing this. Whereas the right media automatically seems to blame anything they can on Antifa.

I fact checked this. It is apparently not exactly true. The truth is that as her two year anniversary was approaching she stated that she would only grant one-on-one interviews to black reporters.
