Good morning, all. I submitted the last of my coursework this morning, and so I am pleased to consider myself a college graduate. It took me 24 1/2 months to earn 107 semester hours for a regionally accredited B.S. in Business Information Systems from Bellevue University.

I'm looking hard at the University of Denver for graduate studies. I am keeping open other options as well. There are some pretty good schools out there that offer graduate education through distance learning. The University of Denver seems to have a really good program for me, and I like their approach to ongoing learning.

Thanks to everyone who gave me support along the way. This is the realization of a lifelong dream. Yay! :D

Actually I am looking at the M.A.S in Computer Information Systems. Unlike so many "information systems" programs that seem like a rehash of what I already took, this looks like a lot of good and useful work. There is nothing in the program that I am not exposed to everyday, so there is very little that work wouldn't pay for. That's a big plus.

Wow - I'm about 5 classes behind you in the same program at Bellevue (BIS). I should finish in April 2006, so I can really appreciate the course load you had to complete.

HUGE congrats, my friend - it's certainly not an easy program!

Jigamafloo, are you working with Professor Smith? Yes, it is quite a pace and quite a courseload. Certainly doable though Keep me informaed on your progress! :D

BlueMason, I am looking at the individualized option at the University I posted above. Since I'm a technical architect at an insurance company that is converting to MSFT platforms all around, I need to make sure my grad studies encompass a broad scope, from .Net through data warehouses through GIS and who knows what else. That's why I like the U.D. approach. It's quite flexible and set up to be attractive to learning beyond the degree level.

No, it's Prof. Fine (Glen Fine). Certainly putting us through our paces. I'll be happy to keep you up on progress, given that you've "been there/done it".

As an aside, who did you have for the Signature Series? I took it prior to starting the core BIS work, and had Prof. Scalia (Joe Scalia.

I had Joan Black. That was one of the best experiences of my college career. Did you enjoy the sig?
