This is driving me nuts! I have done it before and can not figure this out. How do you highlight sections like in this example - http://www.greatresumesfast.com/samples/executive/Director%20of%20Professional%20Services.pdf ROBERT FAIRCHILD and DIRECTOR OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES Scope Management Strategic Planning International Business Development Are blocked out in black with white lettering. How do I do this?????
In Open Office Writer: White font, highlighted black. Highlight, then tab or space through the areas where there is no print. SC
I really like the way that resume looks. Good choice! I wonder how it stands up to the automated word scanners recruiters use so much these days to screen online applicants?
I would think that it shouldn't cause a problem. The word scanners recognize the characters, not the font or shading, so the word scanner should pick everything up.
Another way to do this is to insert a table, type text, then change font color and fill table with color. RESUME I also use this technique to quickly insert photographs into a document. I convert resumes and other documents into PDFs before sending to a third party.
