    Hi,
I'm still looking for a university that offers an affordable Masters of Education by distance education. Universities like Capella and Phoenix U are too expensive!

Does anyone have any experience with Acadia University's Masters of Education (IT) that's offered online?

I'm interested in all aspects of education, so would love a generalist MeD that covers a whole range of topics. I'm looking for a North America university that's not too expensive and offers payment per course. So, I can just pick off one course a time and take a few years to complete it. I'm Canadian and hoped to find something in North America. Does anyone have anymore suggetions?

Right now, I'm taking Phyiscs online from Athabasca university and my primary school teaching credential (grades K to 3) online from Queen's.

PS I think I spend more time searching for a program than completing my courses!! It's hard work!

    Thanks,
    Ramona

MS in Education with an Option in Online Teaching and Learning - CSUHAYWARD

    Have a look at this

    http://www.online.csuhayward.edu/Ms/index.shtml

Fees for all courses are $795.00

The Master of Science in Education with an Option in Online Teaching and Learning prepares educators and trainers to design, implement, and teach online courses. Students in the master's program study the practices, theories, and protocols of online teaching and learning while experiencing online learning themselves. The program is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is offered entirely online.

Students will cover a wide range of topics including the virtual classroom, synchronous vs. asynchronous learning, the use of the World-Wide Web for instruction, multimedia instructional design for individuals with disabilities, virtual communities, and a variety of uses of technology tools. Online courses will be contrasted with campus or corporate based face-to-face courses in terms of how each serves to meet the needs of individual students.

    Faculty:
The master's program is interdisciplinary and draws upon Cal State Hayward faculty from the School of Education and Allied Studies, the School of Arts, Letters, and Social Sciences, the School of Business and Economics, and the School of Science. These faculty have experienced online education as students in online courses and as instructors in the delivery of online courses. Experienced and outstanding part-time faculty from other institutions of higher education and from the professional community will be available in addition to full-time faculty from Cal State Hayward.

    Features:
The master's degree is offered entirely online, so students are never required to come to campus. Instead, students may attend from anyplace in the world where they have Internet and World-Wide Web access. Because of the intensive nature of online instruction, students should expect to spend 6-12 hours or more per week on each online class. Courses are either 5 or 10 weeks in length. Students will be able to communicate with their instructors and advisors by email, telephone, "chat" room office hours, and/or videoconference.

    University of South Alabama

I can vouch that Colorado State does, the others I have not checked.

I noticed that the rest of your education was from Queen's, which could indicate you are in Canada, if so have you checkec out Athabasca's program?

    UMass - Amherst

Take a look at UMass, Amherst.

They have an online and AACSB accredited program.
    37 credits @ $600 each = $22,200.

    http://www.umass.edu/mba

One of the cheapest MBA programs out there is probably Imperial College of University of London.

Wait, Sam. This is about MEd, not MBA. CSU Hayward may well be a good option for you, Ramona.
