    Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good choices for a Master of Education by distance education? I'm looking for a university that:

    a) Focusses on curriculum, administration, and information technology in the classroom. I'd like a mix.
    b) Is not too expensive (ie not University of Phoenix, Capella)
    c) Has courses that are continuous entry

I'm Canadian, but am looking at universities in the US, Canada, etc. I have taken 6 distance ed. courses from Athabasca University and really like that format.

    Thanks,
    Ramona

I am also resident in Canada and I teach in the Grand Erie District School Board (Ontario.) Our VP is doing an MEd by distance, using one of the Australian Universities. One of our board superintendents is rumoured to be doing a DEd distance from Bath in the UK (Though it is also rumoured that this individual lacks the necessary brain cells). Perhaps you should consider broadening your net. Try the following web address:

Memorial University has a distance M.Ed in Information Technology, perhaps the best option for you.

Check the WEB site http://www.cvu-uvc.ca/ for the Canadian Virtual University and follow the links to the individual university distance graduate programs.

    Best wishes---Jim

From you degrees so far you may be interested in teaching math. If so, check out the University of Exeter, England (if you accept that Cornwall is in England). They have a MEd and EdD in teaching math. Not exactly cheap and not continuous intake, but definitely worth a look: http://www.ex.ac.uk/~PErnest/

    Best wishes (again)---Jim

I am in the process of applying at USQ. I hope it is the right decision. It appears quite good as far as options and price.

I too am a Canadian and working on my M.Ed

    good luck
