From what I can see, MDIVS has not been the topic of any recent threads and I came upon them from a link from the Cal Coast website.

I am wondering as to the "credibility" as they put it and if their connection with both CCU and CSU would give MDIVS a bit more respectability from an otherwise unaccredited school; perhaps a solid move towards accreditation isn't far off?

Well, it's probably better than nothing, although I'm not sure exactly what it means to be an "institutional partner"?

From a usability standpoint, MDIVS (shouldn't it be MISD?) website is pretty poorly designed ... the main navigation is a drop-down box?!

Anyways, looking at their faculty list, it's a pretty mixed bag ... while there are faculty listed with degrees from well-known accredited schools, a lot of their doctorates are from Trinity (Newburgh) and MDIVS itself.

    MDIVS vs. MISD vs. MDS

MDIVS comes from there website (pulldown and all) and MISD does seem to make a bit more sense (how about just plain old MDS?).

No matter what they call it, there are a plethora of religious schools out there, some accredited and many more that are not. It looks (to me) that MDS is somewhere in religious/secular gray area and that perhaps they are simply stepping up or at the very least forging credible relationships with accredited schools such as CCU and CSU which may give them a stronger competitive edge.

Maybe not secular per se, but they have academic relationships with secular schools that in the end seem to forge a secular bond. It almost sounds like religious/secular chemistry.

I guess the "pulldown" website could be a bit more elaborate but it gets you where you want to go.
