I’m interested in finding an online M.Ed. in Psychology that offers teacher certification (secondary ed. for Pennsylvania). So far I’ve had no luck finding one, and the best I’ve come up with is a combination of two programs: a post-bachelor’s teacher cert. at Drexel University ( http://www.drexel.com/Fields_of_Study/education/GITC/index.shtml ), and the MSCE in Counseling/Psychology at the University of West Alabama ( http://www.columbiasouthern.edu/uwa/programs/mscepsyc.html ).

I’d rather find one program that offers both the Master’s in Psychology and the teacher cert. I’d prefer to stick with an RA B&M school that offers the program completely online. Is anyone aware of such a program, or have any other advice?

    Thanks!

I believe that there was a relatively recent thread that pointed out that UWA also offered an MAT.

Vermont College of the Union Institute www.tui.edu offers a certification-track MEd and the master's in psychology.

Oy vey! How could I have missed this little factoid? My own dear beloved alma mater City University www.cityu.edu offers master's degrees in both counseling and teacher education. (Duh! I'm kinda dumb for not noticing that one earlier!)

Yes, UWA offers a variety of MA and MEd degrees online some with certifications, some without. Go to the page I linked and see their offerings.

Of course, there certifications would be in Alabama, but there might be a reciprocity agreement or something, so you could check into that.

Thank you for the info. I forgot about this university. The tuition is inexpensive and programs look interesting.
