Hi everyone. I’m considering obtaining another master’s degree, particularly in the field of adult education/human resource development. Quick background on myself: I have a MPA, which I completed online and I work in the law enforcement field, specifically corrections. There are two programs that I’ve narrowed it down to and just wanted to get some feedback from the professionals here.

    K-State – M.S. Adult and Continuing Education
K-State Online Master's Degree in Adult and Continuing EducationOverall good program from a respectable institution. I like the fact that you can transfer 9 credits into the program and that courses run in 8 week intervals. In addition, students can combine a graduate certificate into the program itself. The downside for me is the cost. I think it’s like $1200-$1300 per course. Lastly, the curriculum doesn’t exactly blow me away but it’s doable.

    UARK – M.Ed. Adult Education/Human Resource Development
M.Ed. in Workforce Development Education: College of Education and Health Professions
Solid program from another respectable institution, I like the course curriculum and the cost is within my military tuition assistance allotment. The downside for me is that UARK follows the “standard” 16 week schedule which is pretty damn long if you ask me. Also, I think there is limited course flexibility and course transferability available.
