back to the original topic, here's an apology from the Fake News Rex Huppke: Important thoughts from my fingers - Chicago Tribune
If Kaepernick was any good, he'd be on an NFL roster this very second. But, he's not, so he isn't. His college-level skill set has been figured out by the NFL defensive coordinators, so he's finished as a starting QB in the league. He might be an okay backup somewhere, but he's also committed career suicide with his publicity stunts of kneeling during the National Anthem, wearing socks depicting police officers as pigs, and everything else that screamed LOOOOOOOK AT MEEEEEEEE!!!!! in a league where team is everything, and grandstanding frowned upon. Now, he's trying to guilt an NFL team into paying him huge money to stand on the sidelines with a clipboard. He's exactly like a misbehaving child who doubles-down on his temper tantrums, hoping the parent(s) will finally give in and acquiesce to his demands.
