Guys and gals, I have a friend in the ANG who is considering the M.A Human Services program at Liberty. I browsed the website and they have a lot of different specializations. He is particularly interested in the Executive Leadership specialty. After checking out the courses it seems geared more towards church administration as oppposed to non profit/state administration. I'm wondering if anyone on the board completed this specialization could share some light for me. Any help is greatly appreciated
I personally do not believe the degree is geared more towards church administration, they have plenty of degrees for that in their seminary. I looked at the degree and really like it personally, but I think it is geared more towards non-profit in a secular sense than ministry sense. That being said, it's not a bad idea to be able to work in and around Biblical fundamentals within a non-profit scope as many human services which are not government affiliated are born of ministries of one type or another. At least here in Texas.
