Louisiana Tech Online Doctorate in Engineering and Technology Management (DETM)

Louisiana Tech University, a public R2 polytechnic, is introducing a Doctorate in Engineering and Technology Management (DETM) available online.

"The Tech Online program is very unique in that there is flat fee per credit hour. There are no additional fees," they state. 475 per x 63 semester hours = 29 925.

 

This school is my neck of the woods. Dont underestimate this school its a powerhouse and a awesome bang for your buck

 

I might be old school, but I always get hung up on a doctorate that is not a PhD! Personally, I will not consider a degree that would not award a PhD acronym. You will spend the rest of your life explaining what a DETM is! pffff.

 

Yup, your eold school. I dont think the title will be a problem for Louisiana Tech. They are already very well connected to various private sectors.

Keep in mind this is located in the deep south in a very red state. Itll matter more of who was your chair, where did you intern at, and who is your daddy, Do you drive chevy or a ford truck

I agree, I have seen people have DBA, DSc, DEng; but put Ph.D. in LinkedIn and resumes. That is misleading.

 

I is currently in good ol' Texas! So surely, them boys know what Louisiana Tech would be also...but still DETM vs PhD! Nah hoss, that there dog won't hunt! change my mind! lol

 

It says transfer coursework is allowed, but majority of coursework (outside of research and dissertation) has to be done at LA Tech. This means 21 credits can be transferred in, lowering the cost to $19,950.
