Looking to advise one of my students

More things to ponder...

The kid has GI bill money to use (he was in the Army), and he needs developmental work to reach the freshman level. And in rural NW Wisconsin, not a lot of opportunities (one reason why we have 2 DI folks on our adjunct faculty).

I still believe that Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College is the best fit for this kid, just because he'll get the opportunities that he can't access here.
