The University of Strathclyde in Scotland will accept students into their LLM in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law if you have some relevant experience in the field. Otherwise a law degree is recommended.

This may not be an option for you as it is not known what your doctoral level studies or work experiences are.

    Look at: http://itlaw.law.strath.ac.uk/distlearn/information/index.html

Since LL.M. programs are not evaluated by the American Bar Association, U.S. law schools accredited by the ABA are free to establish any admission criteria they wish.

I doubt you'll find a published admission policy that requires anything less than a J.D. or the foreign equivalent.

However, I have seen many exceptions over the years to published admission policies. Being a successful businessperson or professional and a major contributor to the school or university can't hurt.

You might try The University of South Africa (and when you finish the LL.M., they also offer correspondence LL.D.'s).

    Good luck!

Speaking as a medical malpractice consultant in the Seattle area, I don't think there are any LLM programs specializing in malpractice although there a number specializing in health law.

What would you want to do with a LLM in malpractice? If you let me know, I may be able to provide some targeted advice.

    Regards,

You might contact the Concord Law Center. They've got a D/L LLM in Health Law and they might be flexible.

The University of London (External program) offers a sound LLM, though I'm not sure if they would have the speciality you are seeking. Well priced too...
