Lincoln College (157 year old college) bites the dust...

At a first glance, it seems that art, design and cultural schools were hit badly, religion also and a surprising (to me) number involved in health care. Didn't see any that specialize in IT going down... or engineering.

I think the mix probably reflects the aggregate value judgments of the gen. pop. - whether we like them or not.

 

Health care is falling down? But I heard that the US healthcare system is having a serious shortage of healthcare professionals, let alone the aging baby boom generation issue by 2030.

 

I noticed that too! Especially, the religious based schools. Apparently, there is a drop in church attendance overall since the Covid pandemic. Many are now attending virtual services and leaving many chapels and religious buildings vacant.

I wonder if many students have adjusted to virtual college during the pandemic and now are choosing distance learning options over attending a campus? I think these closures are the tip of the iceberg.
