Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia

I would recommend being sure that all requirements are met for NY and seeking an LPC license by endorsement. Moving half-way through the process can really mess things up.

 

Masters in Clinical Professional Psyc...Can I apply for LPC??

I obtained my MA in Clinical Professional Psyc. The degree is approved by the NBCC and its scope is to prepare individuals for psychological intervention. I could become an LPC in Illinois (where the university was located, Roosevelt) but am now in VA. Does the degree have to be in "counseling?" I know that in Ohio, it has to actually say "counseling" in the degree name.
