.....but since we are now in the national category we are ranked rank not published. It's a positive thing for sure just sucks we have no posted number rank. Also we have a endowment of $1,054,285,564.

Just keep in mind there are only 310 schools in the national category. The number ranks stop after 220 or so. The rest of that 310 are rank not published schools. So being lumped into a category with 310 slots is pretty good considering the massive number of total colleges in the US. Slowly but surely we are moving up academically. This stuff moves really slow so I'm not expecting a number rank for another 5 years if that.

Not bad for a school that had one foot in the RA graveyard and the other on a banana peel not too long ago.

Yeah I know right! From almost closing it's doors before the founder died to doing fairly well for itself and having a super large endowment.

Personally, I wish that private schools didn't receive federal financial aid. Let them sink or swim on their own. But no matter where you stand on Liberty's theology you have to admire what they've contributed to DL.

Biology? Fail. But DL? For sure.

My brain short- circuited for a second. From the headline, I thought Liberty went from regional to national accreditation. I was already planning my refund letter.

The US News ranking categories are based on the Carnegie classifications. In February 2016, the Carnegie classifications were reorganized, resulting in about 12% of the schools that US News ranks changing categories.

I think it would depend upon what exactly they were doing and why.

ACICS? I'd help you write it.

Some smaller, specialty institutional accreditor that would reduce their fees but not compromise the programmatic accreditations? That might warrant a closer look.
