Out of curiosity, wondering if anyone has any experience with this program. According to the website it seems pretty decent. The cost is low, especially for those using military benefits, 3 intensive residencies (5 days each residency), and in-person dissertation defense. My friends in the national guard have used Liberty for undergrad programs and most have nothing but positive reviews.

If you're referring to Liberty University ( http://www.liberty.edu ), then I can relate some of my experience with them while I was (am) researching different business programs.

I talked quite a while (about an hour I believe) with one of their advisers (and current student). He was very informative, polite and knowledgeable in every category I had a question in. The tuition cost was competitive with other universities ($250/hr if I remember correctly), and the quality of their courses seemed to be excellent.

In the end, I've chosen to pursue my first degree through a local community college.

A word of warning to anyone contemplating LU, though. Even with a AS of Business Administration, religion and religious philosophy classes were part of the required General Education courses. May not matter, but just a friendly heads up. :)

Someone should be along soon to give you some first hand experience or at least a more informed answer than me, though!

I heard the same thing as well. They have some religious requirements added into the core requirements.

    Achtung!

Check first to make sure your State's Dept. of Education recognizes DL education programs. Even with SACS accreditation & short residencies, not all states recognize Liberty's counseling and education degrees for licensure.
